I did it! I'm not the best cribbage player, but I can count up my own points and everything!

On this day in 1973, "The Wicker Man" premiered in London. I saw this movie for the first time this year and didn't sleep for two days afterwards. Definitely worth a watch but only once.

Got my Christmas present to myself in the mail today: a VHS copy of "Coven" signed by the director and star of the movie, Mark Borchardt. The letter accompanying it is lovely. Mark is just a stellar human being and I'm so happy to own this!

Got a couple of McDonald's Grinch Meals tonight. For those who don't know, it comes with a pair of socks, dill pickle Grinch salt, and a bag for shaking the Grinch salt with your fries. My husband declined to Grinch his fries so I saved that for my mom. Socks will go to my mom and my dad.
Two pairs of the same socks: blue socks with Cindy Lou Who, Max the dog, and the Grinch on them. They also have an ornament with the McDonald's logo and the sole of the socks say "These socks stink!" In between the two pairs of socks is a paper bag that says "McShaker Fries ALL FOR ME" with a picture of the Grinch eating a French fry. There is also a green packet of dill pickle seasoning Grinch Salt that has a drawing of the Grinch on it.

Mail call! Got some great stuff from two of my favorite orgs today. First, it’s my Skatetown USA shirt from @kfai.org that came just in time for @djtj.bsky.social’s show today! And second, it’s the new @trylon.org program! This Bad Company series looks killer.

My evening advent calendar is candy and other treats, and it is extra special because it was put together by my mom. She chose the candy and toys for each day. First two days (because I forgot yesterday) were Lindt truffles and a squishy toy!

Day two is this delightfully squishy cube with snowflakes in it. You can flatten it and it slowly reforms back into a cube. Love it!

Work was slow enough today that I managed to get all of my Christmas cards done! Furthest card will go to the Netherlands. The closest card will go to my father-in-law in my same zip code. Hilariously, I will pass his house when I take them to the post office.

I have multiple advent calendars going this month because I just think they’re neat. First up is my Needoh advent calendar, which I open every morning after cleaning out my inbox. Today’s treasure is a squishy elf finger puppet!

I’m crying so hard right now. My parents have a huge lightly wooded area behind their backyard that is amazing to explore and I don’t have my good winter boots or my snowshoes. The universe hates me.

Hit up Boom Island Brewing this evening, where they were poking beers in celebration of their Yule beer release. This chocolate orange stout was super delicious poked. The heat gave it a very toasty marshmallow-y head! (no audio)

Finished my on-the-clock craft project, a latch hook pillowcase! I can’t calculate how much I was paid while making it; I was constantly interrupted, making time tracking difficult. It took exactly five work weeks. Now I just need to find a pillow and put it on my couch!
