TBOT Update: Random House just told me we've gone into a second printing (1st was not inconsiderable) — so thank you to everyone who has grabbed a copy. And if you haven't, those first pressings are still out in circulation but perhaps not for long:

Three different junker cameras. One has the best glass, but by the time they are scanned and posted it's hard to tell.

Today is the anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake. Let me tell you a story about a Shinto priest who returned to the evacuation zone to tend to shrines cut off from human contact by fallout. Through his struggle you can sense how much we lost on 3/11. blog.hirokoyoda.com/p/the-priest...

my favorite part of Google maps is how it’s always shifting under your fingertips, just shifting here or there, the interface, like a little interface monster being tickled, so cute, so you always tap the wrong thing, like a tadpole filled with life, like the cursed penis of Lucifer himself

We’re banning Wikipedia now because there aren’t as many examples of far-left extremism throughout human history.

For the life of me, I could never figure out what they were trying to accomplish
running a little experiment where I'm posting links on X for the first time in a long time (as opposed to just responding to Japanese notes), and it has *far* better engagement than Threads; this feels like the ultimate self-goal of stupidity on the part of Meta; I have no empathy for these fools
