I feel you on that. Big hugs. While I initiated my estrangement, I still gave them plenty of opportunities to reconnect, to repair, and they always refused.

I’ve made that ATK green bean casserole! I don’t think they know the meaning of the word “quick.” None of their recipes are easy or rapidly done 😂

I grew up near an Italian-American family (my bio-mother’s husband’s family), then married an Irish-Italian-American man. His family observed the feast of the seven fishes; they’re east coast based, while mine was Chicago based & ended up in California. It’s fascinating, this food & culture stuff!
