🧵 Sending out gratitude to all first responders today! Last night, we got stuck in a ~40 min delay on WB 118 to Simi Valley. I can't find any news stories on it, tho from what I saw on the CHP site while stuck, it sounds like an initial two-car collision that came to involve a few more cars.

I made a math error and tipped too low on the bill last night and now I'll be sick to my stomach until I can get back over to the restaurant today to give them cash

Wouldn’t it be cool if we had different schools and jobs for night owls?!

At the recommendation of a client, I started watching Heated Rivalry. One episode and I was HOOKED! Such a great story and the sexy scenes are… yummmmm. I’ve only made it through two episodes so far bc they leave me breathless 😅

A client just pointed out that I’m going to be making my very first trip to Hawai’i during Earth Day this year. OMG, I’m even more excited now! I’ve been dreaming of Hawai’i since I was in junior high, when I first did a project learning about the islands.

This difficulty identifying our own feelings can also happen in homes with overbearing caregivers. If an adult (or several) were often hovering, asking what’s wrong, or expressing distress over your feelings/needs, that could also lead to disconnection from your emotions and inner sensations.
If you grew up in a home where your feelings and needs were rejected or punished, it can be hard now to identify your feelings and needs. You might even think feelings/needs are for other people, not you.
