I haven’t seen a person today yet but yesterday a worker at the convenience store I popped into told me his day was going lovely (because he really likes that word) and that he really liked my glasses. It makes such a difference to just be kind and throw out a compliment when you can.

Lots of reading, focusing on opening our vintage shop (and trying not to dwell on the fact that the timing is un-awesome for that), checking in on friends, standing outside facing the sun for a few moments anytime I see it during this bleak, Iowa winter.
