Of all of them Mahir is the most tactless. He's over 150, arthritic and just generally ceased worrying so much what people think of him thanks to having clientele wealthy and desiring his work enough to buy a commission from a surly old man

this is extra true when grifting and right-wing views enter the sphere too, and ties in with my thread venting about FFXIV community "opinions" and treating Dawntrail as the worst expansion ever after alot of people took their opinions from racists and transphobes that completely poisoned the well
One of the producers on Guilty Gear Strive said it was basically impossible to source player feedback on balance changes online because nobody had original opinions and would just parrot what the most popular content creators said and so they had to rely on data and I think about that every day.
