An outrage break, to restore self. Lemons on the sidewalk in my California neighborhood today.

My son, the artist and novelist, Patrick Carroll, made this shirt - as well as the one on the cover of Mr. Styles's new album. Feels surreal, and I'm just the mom! This image is from the Apple Music iTunes Store opening screen.

Guess who made the shirt Harry Styles is wearing on his new album?

Had the best dumplings, as per usual, at iDumpling in Redwood City. Walked back to the car past Peruvian restaurant, Mexican, Korean, and Pilates. Oh, and House of Humor with tiaras in the window.

Here's the mural in the parking lot. Still so much good in this country.

Blogged, this morning. Very hard to write these days, I admit, as I am so engaged in screaming into our very own Bluesky Void. lisacarnochan.com/2026/01/spea...

Many drivers also in beaten-up Corollas, honking hardest and longest.

As promised, proof my calla lilies have begun to bloom. Daphne Odora Variegata for extra measure so you can imagine that sweet lemon sugar scent! 🌱

10 seconds of an SF Bay Area suburban creek running strong. This one doesn't flood up here; down closer to the Bay it has in the past. That said, I can feel my garden thrilling to the rains.

Something for our nervous systems. My fireplace.

Tomorrow I'm getting on the phone to all my reps. Just couldn't do it today.

Guess what this is (pretend). I didn't make this.

FWIW, here's a photo of John Roberts, on the wrestling team of his Catholic boys boarding high school. Somehow feel it explains some of all this.

Something to calm the nervous system, because we all still have to sleep and keep fighting. The definition of the enemy may have just shifted slightly.

Provoking violent response will only give Trump of an excuse to deploy the National Guard. If the rally is in SF, that's where people should gather.

I made ours on Photoshop from a file I bought on Etsy for $4.30. I had them printed and mounted on foamcore at Fedex for $200. Then I bought dowels and nuts and bolts at Home Depot for $18+and had my local hardware drill the holes when my hand drill proved unfit, ~$15.

Take that, Liar Man.
