A great way to turn the temp down here as @jay.bsky.team @pfrazee.com and @aaron.bsky.team want would be to stop communicating site policies and practices with individual users or on their timelines and hire a comms person who is a professional communicator to do all the front facing interaction.

What *is* true is that all the other big socials are building genAI (yes even Tumblr, partnered with Midjourney) and bsky DOES get scraped by 3rd parties

I think using AI for content moderation is garbage both because it's AI and because it's so unreliable, but some image recognition software is at least better than other sites that openly steal art and images for training and exploitation

if I understand and remember right about the Hive AI content moderation crap, they announced this two years ago.

That it's there (which sucks) but that it doesn't use any images for training AI. Do I have that right?
