A big part of romantic love is feeling uniquely visible & special to our lover-- which can wig trauma survivors the hell out, insofar as we can have VERY mixed feelings about even being noticed, let alone visible, & our past experiences of being "special" are usually negative.

Childlike activities are soothing for a reason. Play-Doh, blocks, puzzles, doodling, and coloring all have a positive neurological impact on the body. These are forms of “brain play” that support healthy development. Want to improve your cognitive and executive functioning? Embrace your inner child.
