"Thinking meat! You're asking me to believe in thinking meat!"

"Yes, thinking meat! Conscious meat! Loving meat. Dreaming meat. The meat is the whole deal! Are you getting the picture?"

people are so goofy

human beings aren't born in a hard shell to crack open and be free, to begin with. it's not that kind of egg. you can't crack a human egg, it's a squishy cell!

i only gave a place name bc somebody else already said "saguaro" !

including you, i see

i'm probably not the only one. the first thing most quiz perverts do is take it again
amyhoy.bsky.social
sorry!

i didn't see repeated samples, if it helps

it doesn't say not to, anywhere, maybe you want to add that or stop it from being doable

ironically it’s probably more correct according to its original naming by native people

Henry's writing about about institutional actors more than the mass public, but the basic collective-action point relates to mass protests as well--a means of signaling the scope of opposition, unafraid and peaceful. Put me in mind of the No Kings day planned for 10/18, which can't come soon enough.

It's interesting seeing the different ways resistance has formed in different cities. Los Angeles Organized, Chicago Radicalized, and Portland Got Weird as Fuck. All 3 have had success unifying their respective cities.

I guess my point is there are multiple paths to ungovernability.

UGH what a bummer

this is one of the most useful labelers
for.shame.wtf
This labeler will be shutting down. We will first be unlabeling everyone who is labeled and then will cease to operate. As the unlabeling operation will take an unknown amount of time, we are not setting a specific timeline other than as soon as possible.

not to mention giving hiking instructions that don't respect the weather

i'm guessing the body count is in the 10s at minimum
amyhoy.bsky.social
i mean it's been telling people to mix dangerous chemicals, inject or drink the wrong thing, and kill themselves for a while
amyhoy.bsky.social
guarantee you we crossed that a while ago

any random moderately successful small restaurant creates 20 jobs

imagine how many little businesses that $38 million could spawn if we *correctly* allocated that capital to *actual job producers* (which are always small business)

worst advent calendar

Germany's justice ministry held firm and killed EU chat control (for now):

"Chat control without cause must be taboo in a state governed by the rule of law. Private communication must never be under general suspicion."

Admirably concise and direct. German in the best possible way.

is this the first time you've read a headline? headlines usually include some attribute of the subject like profession or family status

churches, bars, public transit, offices: all dating platforms
amyhoy.bsky.social
kinda odd thing to call it a “dating platform.” sometimes people just meet socially and fall in love.

didn't know she wrote up on the roof!
