Local rallies in Spokane tomorrow. Tomorrow makes a very bitter sweet full circle for me. I was 16 protesting against the Iraq invasion at an event in Spokane hosted by PJALS. Tomorrow my 16 year old will be attending her first rally and it's with PJALS. 💙🖖💔

Nobody appears to want to say it. So I’ll say it. This is a hostile takeover by a foreign adversary. Just like Yanukovych in Ukraine, like Belarus,Georgia, Chechnya, Romania, Hungary… the list goes on. And in all of these places there is one think in common: Putin and his right wing propaganda.

Harvard has set an example for other higher-ed institutions - rejecting an unlawful and ham-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom, while taking steps to make sure students can benefit from an environment of intellectual inquiry, rigorous debate and mutual respect. Let’s hope others follow suit.
