what’s old is new again
I don’t know what I expected. I think I had this expectation that it might be a too heavy but I’m enjoying it so far.

What I’m starting January with. Starting Crime and Punishment today. Decided to listen to Empire because it’s been so long since I read it and needed a refresher for the new book.

I barely made it to 2026 with a book in hand and a lapful of animals. I’m going to bed 🥱

Really my only real goals for the new year are to keep reading and walking/riding my bike.

Doomscrolling, instead of reading, with a cat in my lap.

This photo makes him look really long 😂

Is it weird that I don’t like to read graphic novel series that isn’t finished? I hate waiting. I mean I feel marginally the same about novels. I mean why does it seem like everything is a trilogy? I mention this is because I really want to read Saga and Something is Killing the Children. Alas.

The last 30% of Independent People is really dragging BUT I am going to finish it tomorrow. Not taking it with me into the New Year.

It has given me a lot to think about but probably not in the way that was intended 🧐

Reading Independent People and finding it amusing that it referenced both the wheel in relation to life being what it is and also that there is a town in Iceland called Myrdal. I really must have Wheel of Time on the brain.

post a perfect album from the 90s that isn't nirvana, soundgarden, pearl jam, or alice in chains.

Book 7 finished! Only 7 more to go 😁 #wheeloftime

Anaconda was fun and silly.

My Stephen King journey will continue in the new year. It’s exactly what I wanted. #readingisfundamental #reading2026

The Aes Sedai are so overbearing. I kept hoping they’d get theirs. FINALLY Lord of Chaos came through. I was pretty sure the lord of chaos wasn’t Rand because it seemed too obvious but now I’m not sure.

Watching the season finale for Welcome to Derry and I really hope these soldiers get what’s coming to them. Rooting for Pennywise 😂

This book is sucking my will to read other books. I only have two chapters left though. Two really long chapters 😫

Movie you’ve watched more than six times with a gif. Hard mode: no Stars (Wars nor Trek), LOTR, or Marvel, Disney Animated or Pixar.

Read a lot of King this month. Trying to read books I’ve bought with the intent to read but keep getting distracted by recommendations #readingisfundamental #reading2025

Pigs must be flying because I read an actual book on my TBR rather than something I just saw 😂

I basically want to see every adaptation of Buffalo Hunter Hunter . . . graphic novel, yes please . . . movie you say, would be appreciated.

The audiobook is so good. I remember thinking when reading the book that I thought it’d be an excellent audiobook. Glad I was right.
