Psyching myself up to go to a protest today and it’s not fun. It’s not trivial. I have to worry about my safety and my wife’s safety in a state with more guns than people and an active ICE presence where they shot two people this week.

I'm very slowly working up to a 5k. I need to get a bit faster, but have this mental block about 'getting out of breath', plus I don't seem able to sustain a slightly quicker pace without it just becoming a sprint. Any tips welcome.

Kind of extraordinary that the new Local Growth Fund is to be distributed by the Welsh Government in Wales, but directly by the UK Government in Scotland, and that the rationale for the difference seems to be no more than "we don't trust the Scottish Government".
