I’m South American. I witnessed the Chile coup, the Argentina coup, and all the other coups that took place in the 70s. The USA supported those coups. Military personnel were trained in the States. Thousands of deaths, disappearances, torture, stolen babies, rape, and theft. Never again, anywhere.

And no, this isn't a function of universities teaching "left-wing"/progressive values. Most faculty don't try to teach students what to think (and wouldn't be successful if they tried), contrary to what Postmedia wants you to believe, but how to think critically, assess evidence, etc.

Consultation promotes and condones exclusion. People are allowed to decide who moves into “their” neighbourhood. It doesn’t take a genius to conclude that when affordable housing is not built due to consultations, some residents are excluded. Who? I wonder. Mayor Chow knows this. ⬇️

The assertion here is not backed by any evidence. I don’t believe it’s a flip-flop either. It’s a negotiation. I’m starting to feel like I did when no one gave Trudeau any credit for anything. It was constant bashing. It’s not helpful. We need more information and less opinion.
