This is one of those cases where I care more about a specific game than anyone ought to, for no other reason than nostalgia. Played it countless times as a kid. Is it good? Not really. Yet nostalgia alone makes it fun.

As far as preservation for this console goes, information seems quite scarce. Though I can't say I'm surprised.
There doesn't even seem to be a definitive list of games.
If anyone knows how these cartridges can be dumped, please let me know.

I paid less than €0.50 per cartridge, which is about what these are worth to me to be honest. It also came with two joysticks.

The CPU was already socketed, easy swap. Added small heatsinks to it and other hot-running chips. Replaced the BASIC ROM with an EPROM using a DIY adapter from PCBWAY. I had done the same for the KERNAL ROM. That was the first chip I replaced after reading many reports of it being a common failure.

I always go with Nedgame these days, especially now that Game Mania is bankrupt. They've been 100% reliable when it comes to delivering on launch day, unlike Nintendo's own store. And the games usually come with the same pre-order bonuses.

I've seen some images of the Gamester MD-3, and it indeed looks like this controller was based on that model. It would be interesting to compare the internals of both.
