Useful to know. One thing putting me off river sections is having to go further/longer than I want between moorings but if a considerate anchor stop is ok that could help a lot

I’ve vaguely wondered whether no mooring includes anchoring but as I’ve not been near a river yet, I’ve not checked.

It’s a surprisingly maligned plant despite many natural values. I hadn’t thought before that its denial by early christians could be a contributor.
I hadn’t previously noted gooseberry in the Ogham, for some reeason I think of it as a sixteenth century import, but that may be when it became popular.
