I think the restrictions could also be extended to Russians who receive Schengen visas.
In 2024, more than 552,000 Schengen visas were issued to Russian nationals, marking a 9% increase compared to the previous year. Italy, France, and Spain were among the most active issuers of these visas.

I get you. I still can’t tell if she’s being spiteful or just getting senile with age. Either way, she did harm by making these statements. The right thing would have been to admit she was wrong. She could’ve easily spent two hours talking about what she did wrong.

Considering that the Russian attack started on her watch, when she was Germany’s Chancellor and basically the most powerful leader in Europe, I think it’s pretty embarrassing for her to say the things she’s saying now. 🤡

At the moment, I haven’t seen any real steps toward decoupling, just timid statements. I think this aid is a sort of olive branch extended to Ukraine, so it stops bombing the pipes that transport Russian gas. I hope I’m wrong, though.
