These stats are cool, but I'm wondering how they were tallied? The 2019 daily traffic avg on Dundas here is 10,000, but a recent 14h vehicle count through Dundas and Bathurst was 23,417. open.toronto.ca/dataset/traf...

Though it’s located on an urbanist nightmare street, I usually go to Snowden deli to avoid such lines. Great food, also.

We've had devastating wildfires, floods, toxic air, etc. Doesn't seem to have awoken anything in our national consciousness, and I'm starting to wonder if anything can. Maybe fire tornados.

Safety is important but we also need protected bike lanes to encourage the less confident cyclists to ride bikes rather than drive cars (or motorboats?) for transportation. Riding on the road with cars is too scary for most people.

Why does Tory not see this?? No issue with delivery trucks or even the tens of thousands of Ubers deadheading waiting for passengers. But the actual people delivering food with insane efficiency on a tiny slice of road, they don’t count? The fuck???

Biased as an east-ender, but the Dundas east lane seems like very very low hanging fruit as they’ve already started upgrading small sections of it.

On 30km/h streets, I often take the lane to avoid the door prize. But many drivers can’t tolerate going 25-30 behind me and need to either honk me out of the way or dangerously and illegally pass at speed only to meet me at the next red light. It’s a sickness.

Not feckless, they just believe in compromise (doing nothing and hoping no one gets mad).

How bout laying down some “please stop killing people” stickers on the road for drivers?
