So i don't know if people use reddit, i do, a lot. I do also know the place is a pigsty often, which is partly why i use RES and old reddit.
One of the best things about RES is that you can blacklist subs. So let me just advice everyone to blacklist LSF because i am actually happier now.

So i realized another way GenAI is the worst technology ever.
It is such a bad term that people are starting to forget that "primitive" AI and basic ass algorithms exist.
Like i have seen someone ask why we aren't using AI for traffic flow and my brother in christ, we got that decades ago.

Duet Night Abyss is such a funny game. Full disclosure, i like it and do play it, but unless you're one of two types of players you should honestly not bother.

Honestly i should really just tell i am super appreciative of the #gposers here on Bsky. The NSFW posts are always nice, but more than that, it shows that people still love FFXIV and Eorzea and showing love needs to be recognized and appreciated and this is me saying i appreciate you!

Finally beat the current savage tier in FFXIV.
First fight is goated, fun and unique. Second was a pain, but a lot of my static tried new jobs, so might be user issue more than fight issue. Third had a ton of flavor, unfortunately not a great flavor.

So honest question, how long do we think Microsoft will stay alive at their current rate of corporate suicide, because i have not seen a company make this many terrible decisions in such a short amount of time since Blizzard in 2019 if that is even close.

It is worth saying amidst in this time of increasing pessimism and doomerism. I think things will get better, i think this because i see people speaking up and boosting the voices of the marginalized. Sometimes optimism can be make people stop fighting, but my optimism is that i see the fighting.

If you think about capitalism, you should remember that part of the philosophy is that if soceity needs something, the gap will be filled if there is a lack. So whenever the ultra rich talk about capital flight, their own philosophy states new millionaires will rise up or they aren't needed.

Seriously we need a law that makes it so that if software hasn't been updated in 5 years it effectively becomes public and hell make it easy for companies to renew, even a form stating they still want the software is enough.
Point is more to make abandonware belong to the people.

GenAi sucks because it is plagarism, but it also robs of what could genuinely be some of the coolest art imaginable. An AI trained to make art independently of replication could deliver some of the surreal art in all categories. GenAi will never do that because it is plagarism with no originality
