yup it's a form with no geographical checking for fake address, emails, or phone numbers. Abigail Williams saw Sarah Good, Bridget Bishop, and Goody Osburn consorting with the devil in the women's bathrooom a fortnight past at the Provo airport.

Nah, swans are pretty vicious.

Speaking of which, next Saturday we premiere the SATB arrangement of Andrew Lippa’s “Unbreakable” to share 12+ decades of queer history in Omaha NE.

I’m personally struggling with how emotional the music is with 150 voices. Especially the piece about Cyril Wilcox. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secret_...

I found a queer choir to join after 20 years out of college glee club and it’s one of the best things I’ve done for myself since coming out, and since college. Real community and good music. I’m so proud of the work we do!

Delicious eldritch citrus! It makes amazing candied peel - no bitterness.

The overblown hype is positively painful in a tech school. Luckily I teach the tech ethics class where I can help students cultivate critical thinking and healthy skepticism.

Spoiler: they were already skeptics, just uninformed ones.

A great tip I got once is to go for the pretty variegated ones because they always grow slower.

Checks out - I have a striped spider that’s enthusiastic but not too aggro. I leave the babies on to cascade and refresh its soil and trim back roots maybe every 12-18 months.

I’m ready to fork over $100 for this curious fellow already. Thanks for the link and recommendation!

Yeah, the trick is finding the credible threats that will make them throw up their hands in frustration and give you your way. This one for insurance is solid gold!

A much lesser variant on Person Who Will Cause Problems tactic to get off mailing lists that don’t actually allow you to unsubscribe is (in the US) basically threatening a CAN-SPAM violation report to FCC. Suddenly they can process your request immediately and you never hear from them again.

I know, but they’ve clearly been traumatized over it and don’t see the benefit of practicing and using their own words.

Just a random academic chiming in to say your shoes are simply fantastic. Also the whale bone ofc.

I have an international/immigrant student or two who are doing this and I’m politely and firmly letting them know that what they’ve been submitting is hollow and meaningless, and however imperfect, their own words are fine.

Haha thanks!

My grandma and wife remembered, they’re the reliable ones. I think my wife nudged all the rest of my family since they suddenly all chimed in. 😅

Thanks! I got to enjoy a special dinner dish that my wife made so that was nice. We’ll probably celebrate on the weekend with friends, one of them has a birthday in 2 days so we usually do a joint thing.
