I read an adorable student newspaper from the local school district. So far, so good.

But here you are doing it, and here I am just coincidentally opening up this app while killing time at the doctor with dad. And we found each other! 💕

Hiiiiii. In today’s Pirates/Cubbies game, Boyd picked off Tommy Phan. He now leads in pick off outs (6). Baseball Savant doesn’t seem to have a search for ‘pick offs’, but all 4 of Boyd’s highlights on the site range from ‘seemingly questionable’ to ‘letter of the law balk.’ Any insight on this? 🙃

Transplant #1:
- lots of goo, but no eye pain
- pretty sure the worst is over
- my vision has already improved
- corneas are super complex organs
- laying flat on my back for 3 days isn’t fun
For #2 in July, I bet I forget the goo & back pain and remember only the shockingly fast recovery. LFG!

AMAZING!!! Phil, this means the world to me to hear this from you. Thank you for sharing - I haven’t talked to any artists about the results of the transplants from that unique perspective. Thank you so much 💛

A patch or shield, apparently. And no driving, obvs. Avi is going with me, and I truly have no idea what to expect. It’s also apparently local anesthesia only, which is terrifying. I hope I can wear ear plugs or ear pods or something. The whole thing is still pretty surreal.

It’s outpatient (!!) and only takes an hour. Science is cool! Then I’m on my back for like, 48 hours? One day, one week, one month checkups before we repeat it for my left eye. Full recovery of both by early fall, when I can finally get new glasses!! 🤓
