@graphql.org is great.

@graphql.org with a visual query builder right in your editor is absolutely magical 🪄 🦄

Go try it today.
nordcraft.com
Nordcraft now has built in support for @graphql.org 🚀

If there ever was a perfect match between two technologies It has to be Nordcraft and Graphql. The two were meant for eachother. ❤️

The Bad UX World Cup is accepting entries for 2025. You have to design and build a deliberately awful date picker component.

To be honest, I’m pretty sure I’ve seen some non-ironic date pickers in production that could win this thing! 🤣

There are so many good ones, but you still can’t beat calc().

That is great for developers. Not for people building css parsers ;)

Named arguments or positional?

How about no names and whatever order you feel like?

In an early version of @nordcraft.com I accidentally turned on a feature flag the let people write css instead of using the style panel.

Users loved it so much that we had to keep it.

Now we have to support all the ridiculous ways you can write the same css property 🤦‍♂️

Great read on css colours

Are you the type of dev who just copies and pastes hex codes?

If so, I've written an article over at @piccalil.li just for you!

I take a look at some of the new CSS colour features that are most useful for those who don't really care about colours.

A pragmatic guide to modern CSS colours - part one
Whether you've got a firm grasp on modern CSS colour capabilities, or you're thinking 'I struggle to understand why I should use modern CSS colours at all', then the first part of this article series,...

You can use comma separated values or spaces. If you use spaces then the alpha value should be separated by a /

And units are optional.

Is there a war going on between the CSS working group and the people who write css parsers?

First submission for #badux2025 is already in!

But first doesn’t not mean best. Or worst.

It is very inaccessible to people with fat thumbs.

Good job 👏

How else are you going to build terrible user experiences

This is much to usable to win...
