So much about how things used to be that I try to impart to my kids, one millennial and one Gen Z. They both stare blankly because I suspect it doesn’t compute when they’ve seen so much corruption in their young adult lives.

Sadly flying and airports these days is really only for the able-bodied.

Every year I dream of making new (to me) dishes for Thanksgiving, like an appetizer of delightful pumpkin soup or a charming cranberry chutney.

But what the hell am I thinking? Everybody just wants the traditional stuff. Gravy. Corn with butter.
