PostDoc in the Ladoux-Mège lab at Institute Jacques Monod in Paris. Interested in mechanobiology, epithelial dynamics, cell competition and differentiation
Are you investigating cell tissues and interested in stress patterns? TFM + BISM reveals them! 👇

With @luanger.bsky.social and P. Marcq, we summarise the applicability across different exp. conditions regularly used in the @bladoux.bsky.social @rmmege.bsky.social lab.

What happens between cells with adhesion differences in crowded tissues? Mechanical cell competition!

Check the final version of our study to learn more about compression-independent cell elimination, interactions at tissue interfaces and the role of force transmission in that

We show that cells with increased cell-cell adhesion benefit from increased force transmission capabilities and exhibit a higher resistance to these stress fluctuations, while the opposing cells are removed.
Thus, force transmission can provide the crucial advantage in mechanical cell competition
