On the anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, we thought we'd answer a question that's often asked,

"If they raised the Mary Rose, why not raise the Titanic?"

The (declassified) Simple Sabotage Field Manual has been removed from the HSDL: www.hsdl.org/c/abstract?d...
I didn't seriously think it would ever disappear when I saved a copy a few years back, but I'm glad I did. Section 11 may be particularly relevant to many.

If someone on "the other side" said something insightful, it's really important to notice and recognise it - and then to use it to focus on areas of disagreement (like how best to fix the problem) rather than automatically disagreeing with something because of who said it.
I have been forced to agree with Coulter , and yes, even stopped clocks are right twice a day. But this feels like one of my personal harbingers of the Apocalypse. And I need that apocalyptic moment to at least be swift. Because otherwise, this is just too much for one lifetime

In 2016, an EgyptAir A320 spiraled into the Mediterranean, killing 66 people. Was it an act of sabotage, or something even more nightmarish? This is a story you won't easily forget.

I'd prefer not to need to test "in prod", but I'm pleased to report that my brakes work and I didn't hit the collie who ran in front of my car.
