FYI, Talarico joined the race three months before Crockett, who joined right before the deadline.

Truly lol, but do you think Talarico’s trading at a discount? He’s already at a decently high 75%—even Mamdani didn’t trade at 90% until the very end

lol but actually her webpage doesn’t even list canvassing opportunities, whereas Talarico has like half a dozen canvassing events every day

To win we have to curry favor with some people we find distasteful. We can put up purity tests but then we would likely lose. Sure he could have gone on Rogan and criticized Rogan, but I don’t think that would have done much actual good. Maybe sitting on our couches you and I would be thrilled.

I hate Rogan. Do you think Talarico would accomplish the destruction of Rogan’s show by simply not appearing as a guest? No. Rogan exists and has an enormous audience, and we have to deal with it

He has been a Texas state representative for 7 years, since he won election in 2018, which is longer than Crockett has been a politician

Ok, I gotcha. Sorry. But I do think Crockett has agency here and isn’t using it very responsibly. I kind of consider her responsible for an online-focused troll campaign because she has very little on-the-ground presence. Anyway I agree all’s fair in campaigns and it’s her right to
February 5, 2026 at 6:19 PM
Wait what do you want? You said “what are we doing here.” Are you complaining or are we not allowed to complain?
February 5, 2026 at 6:13 PM
Yeah she shouldn’t have joined the primary at the last second
February 5, 2026 at 6:10 PM
You make a very good point. That said it’s possible that AOC is everyone’s second choice, they just don’t think they can coordinate around her. Hard to say this early
February 5, 2026 at 5:54 AM
But even beyond ideological positioning, he makes an effort to welcome people who disagree with him. Crockett’s style is to make people who disagree with her appear foolish (which they are…) but that’s not a winning strategy. (Also where is her campaign infrastructure lol)

Me too. Sorry for being short with you earlier
February 4, 2026 at 11:37 PM
Fine, I guess we’re just posting for fun. I hope the candidates can move past these issues and we pick the best one in March to win in November
February 4, 2026 at 10:44 PM
If this mudslinging causes everyone to dislike the two candidates then yes it will cause Republicans to win. It’s petty and terminally online
February 4, 2026 at 10:39 PM
Well, enjoy Ken Paxton
February 4, 2026 at 10:35 PM
How so? He’s handling it well. Crockett looks silly
