Last year I initiated the lighting of Parliament to mark the beginning of 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence. Tonight, the House will be illuminated in orange once again. Everyone has the right to be safe at home and in the community. Here's what's needed to help end it.

I de-activated my X account and was thinking about info I used to get on X. I'm not reading too much into it. But, it is interesting which X accounts and organisation I followed, have yet to transition or create a Bluesky account. Again, not reading too much into it, but just find it interesting.

I just de-activated my X account, and I have absolutely NO buyers remorse with my decision. Even logging on to de-activate the account I was bombarded with mindless noise. It's nice to come here and exhale.

I joined bluesky today and so far my first impressions are....it's twitter without all the nonsense. It's reasonable, considerate and convivial.
I guess I can lay out my blanket, sit down, and enjoy the vibe, the fresh air and sunshine. It is nice to be away from the maddening crowd. Ahhh.

Quick question. Is there anything special I need to do before I delete my Twitter account. Not sure if just deleting the app is enough, or is there some special "cleaning" that I need to do.
You can tell I am not so tech savvy.

Hi, I just came over from Xwitter. I miss the days when Xwitter was a space of reason and consider conversation. Hopefully a fresh start here.
I am still searching for accounts I followed on Xwitter. I hope to see and hear from familiar faces.
