I’ve also had this happen but then a second tap worked 🤷‍♂️😂

My plates are in kilos but I do the conversion for social media since most gym people work in lbs 🤷‍♂️

He hasn’t come back since I dumped him out of the bin on garbage day … I think he was a bit annoyed with me

yeah I've found the same.

I think a bit is just that craft beer growth has slowed, so not as many new breweries trying to establish themselves.

ANBL also changed the rules for getting into stores so I think that has impacted the amount of capacity breweries have to brew new things

Watching Christmas movies during a thunderstorm is an interesting combo

We haven’t been to the evening tastings in about 10+ years … it has gotten so much worse 😂

Lily hates the rain but Gryff has never been bothered by it. Even he thought it was raining a bit too hard 😂

I invested in a commercial heat (ceiling mounted) fan about 5 years ago but it takes a good hour to heat the place up to where my hands aren't freezing

Mine isn't insulated so I don't keep the thermostat on so no idea what the temp was. I'm in pants and a hoodie/t-shirt so still fine from that perspective .. the hands and bar were pretty cold though but tolerable given it was squats today

It’s always been in Moncton from what I can remember but there is another wine event in F’ton that was a charity event

Been about a decade since we were last at the expo

IF .. and that's a big 'if', I were to go again, I think I'd just hit up the Friday afternoon show. Much more likely that all the wines are in stock and honestly, the evening shows seem to be more for the instagram crowd now than people who enjoy wine

.. between phone/server x the large crowds of people using it was crashing the Coliseum wi-fi in previous years. So .. to fix this .. they just removed the data :)

One would think that a better solution would be to build an actual app with local storage.. but what do I know

You also could only make a single list and there really wasn't an option to mark off wines you wanted to buy. You could rate wines but there was no way to sort/filter by your rating

I did ask somebody about the lack of descriptions and was told it was b/c the amount of data transferred...

Lastly, the app... which was just a website. It was 'fine' for making a list, despite none of the wines having any descriptions, but wow .. to actually use it to navigate the show was awful. Routinely getting logged out.. limited filter/sort options, and things getting 'reset' often

The ANBL wine store itself was more or less fine. I get that they're there to sell wine its just disappointing that by the time Saturday rolls around, 1/3 of the wines are sold out before you can try them. Would be nice if they kept stock back for the Saturday shows but I get why they don't
November 10, 2025 at 12:28 PM
Bringing me to the next gripe .. there were very few people pouring wine at any of the booths that knew anything about the wines they were serving. I feel like the minimum bar here would be at least one person representing the vineyard/distributor that could talk to what they have 🤷‍♂️
November 10, 2025 at 12:28 PM
I made a list ahead of time of wines to try, and one table had like 6 so we immediately went there and 1/2 the wines just weren't there. This happened frequently over the night. What's worse is that the 'vendor' (who were apparently just volunteers) had no idea.

Northside you can actually go all the way through but it’s just a random path at the end thru the reserve
