One of the more frustrating things about covering Syracuse sports (specifically basketball) is this kind of media disrespect that has existed for over a decade. Outright lying or the worst possible internal alignment? Por que no los dos?

Went through the 1978 base set. A lot of cards. Gotta see if any are good enough to be graded. Plenty of Eddie Murray’s, Reggie Jackson’s, Pete Rose’s, etc. This is more fun than I thought.

The nice thing is that I spent my childhood organizing my dad’s collection into binders organized by team, so they’re in great shape. It looks like a lot of Topps 1978.

My parents are doing the thing of clearing out all the kids’ stuff from their house and told me I had to decide what to do with my baseball card collection that is half me, half my dad. I said “let’s bring it back to Brooklyn and sort through it all”

So I know ESPN controls college sports and what not, but I can tell you that I have watched enough games this year to say that Syracuse is not 7-1.

I know the realistic spin is that “Seattle just has to win at home” and all but this kind of domination in the opener probably won’t be repeated in a best of 3. Meaning winning two more will be “more difficult” than winning this one game was.
