Remember internment camps? The US has done this before and is doing it again. This is nothing more than a sanctioned governmental effort to eliminate by any means necessary people on the basis of race. Fuck you and fuck anyone supporting any of this

AI as done by open AI is such a scam. It’s a scam that will kill us all.
Altman is such a fucking fraud that he's just openly admitting now it's a data collection exercise. These companies just want your data. It's always been about getting your data. They're not profitable so all the can do is consume. Consume energy. Consume memory, consume data. Frauds.

Maybe Bama wasn’t the team we needed to be talking about from the SEC not deserving of a playoff birth

There is nothing more fun than watching an unblocked edge rusher chase down the QB and realize “oh he’s about to get thumped”

Pirates, Astros, Rays trade is pending medicals, per source. Infielder Brandon Lowe, outfielder Jake Mangum and LHP Mason Montgomery would come to Pittsburgh, Mike Burrows to Houston.

@ken-rosenthal.bsky.social was on it

Look I love Burrows as much as the next guy but that is an insane haul.
Per Chandler Rome and Ken Rosenthal, the Pirates-Astros-Rays trade as of right now is:

Pittsburgh acquires 2B Brandon Lowe, OF Jake Mangum and LHP Mason Montgomery.

Houston acquires Mike Burrows.

Tampa Bay acquires OF Jacob Melton and RHP Anderson Brito.

People are really high on Burrows, and I think he can be a good arm with some time. But for as often as he shone bright, he had some real clunkers and still needs a third pitch. Houston is the perfect spot to get the best out of him, and Lowe is exactly the bat the Pirates need.

It appears as if the Pirates have made a trade I don't hate!

Wrote a semi-depressing substack about how we don’t sit with our thoughts anymore, we let YouTube win the media wars, and how screwed the young men are with all of this shit. Not fun to read, but cathartic to write.

Young men are being brainwashed and we let it happen
The modern media machine has failed and the "victims" are a generation of young men who think they're victims everywhere else

when Ed sounds the alarm, it's not wrong just early. would absolutely *hate* to see bad things happen to such a morally upstanding company like Meta. absolutely *haaaaaaaate* it
Time to escalate my calls: I think something is rotten at Meta, and they are in trouble

One of the biggest challenges I'm genuinely excited to tackle now that I am in the digital media space full time is creating a sustainable brand that doesn't rely on organic social traffic from one or two providers in order to hit pageviews. b/c this is bleak techcrunch.com/2025/12/17/f...

the fact that the sentiment index no longer provides useful economic data is one of those things I think about in the Vibes Vs Material Conditions debate

and I'm still more on team material conditions. but we have to admit there's real evidence the vibes are fucked up in new and confusing ways
Consumer confidence data is basically useless for markets/econ forecasting at this point. There is just no universe where periods when inflation was 5x as high, real income growth was deeply negative, or unemployment was more than 2x current were better than the current backdrop.

White men are 30% of the US and if they look around the room and see it’s less than 90% white men they think it’s affirmative action.
85% of CEOs are white men.

All but one US President has been a white man.

65% of all elected offices are held by white men.

Roughly 30% of the population is white men.

WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS TOPIC EVEN???

While most political headlines are dominated by what crazy man and his crazy friends are doing in DC, this is the kind of reporting that I try and find often because it grounds my brain in "hey, things still matter, these roles are important, your vote has consequences"

"Young dudes need good old dudes around" is how we're gonna beat this thing. One of my favorite things this year has been connecting with the older gents of my local, who while not perfect, look at this manosphere stuff with utter repulsion.
Spot on. And I think Cooper leaving the receiver room did more damage than McVay anticipated when it came to Puka. Big brother that loved to work and set an example of professionalism. Invited him to the QB breakfasts with Stafford so they could build rapport. Young dudes need good old dudes around

This is the number one problem I see facing the collective society we live moving into 2026 and beyond.
The radicalization of young men isn't a strictly American phenomenon. Young guys across the world support far-right politicians and causes while Gen-Z women almost universally back progressive causes. It's a gap that doesn't exist in other generations.
