Incredible headline no notes.
Crypto lobbyist and former senator Kyrsten Sinema has been sued for having affair with her ex-bodyguard. She also allegedly encouraged him to take the psychedelic drug MDMA on a Senate work trip so she could guide him through it.

Appears that one of the reasons for Monster Hunter Wild's dogshit performance are some overly-aggressive checks for purchased DLC content.

The fact players are finding this stuff shows how utterly unoptimised this game is as this should be an easy fix.

Buying all DLC for Monster Hunter Wilds unlocks twice the FPS performance — higher FPS accidentally paywalled by resource-hogging background check for paid content
As gamers started sharpening their pitchforks, Capcom have coincidentally announced a performance optimization patch for all players.

Not to be too mean about it but you guys really need to move past this strongly-worded-letter shit.

Americans: cheaper groceries please

Government: we asked chatgpt and it said it's your fault
Brooke Rollins: "We've run over 1,000 simulations. It can cost around $3 a meal for a piece of chicken, a piece of broccoli, corn tortilla, and one other thing. So there is a way to do this that actually will save the average American consumer money."

The New Horizons update doesn't interest me much because I still have no real reason to go back to the game.

There's a romhack being worked on called Animal Crossing Deluxe which adds a ton of QOL updates to the original gamecube game which I'm looking forward to trying though when it's released.

Using a combination of glitches in Super Mario World, Yoshi can be taken into the final battle, where he can eat Peach upon Bowser's defeat. With Peach gone, the ending will not play, and Mario and Yoshi will simply stare at each other forever.

Absolutely fucking bleak stuff.
UK police have blamed Microsoft Copilot for an intelligence mistake. Microsoft's Copilot AI assistant made up a non-existent football match and British police included the mistake in an intelligence report. Yikes. Details on the Copilot mistake here👇 www.theverge.com/news/861668/...

Definitely nothing to do with the GOP glazing, pantomime of neutrality and taking down of a 60 minutes segment on Trump's immigration policies.

You can tell generative AI is extremely popular with the general public by how two of the richest companies in the world are insisting you stop saying mean things about it.

They assume we must all be getting paid to rise up cos:

A) they can't imagine a scenario where they would stand up for a stranger without financial incentive

B) they received financial incentives or free passes to cause trouble

C) there is insane funding behind them, and they draw small crowds

Torn between admonishing how the internet of things is putting a computer inside everything but also appreciating that means you can now play doom on a cooking pot.

This is just a way for developers and companies to try to soften the blow and make people begin to accept the usage of gen AI. There's no ethical way of using an LLM in game development if that model has been trained on people's copyrighted works with their permission.
Keep hearing devs say that they only use ai for "pre-concept art"

There is no pre-concept art. There is concept art. That's where the idea starts. With the concept.

You're using ai for concept art.

Elon took away her checkmark for calling out the vile stuff with Grok and is now currently threatening to take custody of their child by claiming she wants to make them trans because she said she regrets the way she's talked about trans people.

Genuinely mind-boggling how people stan this loser.

Tough being a star trek fan seeing new shows that rightfully deserve some criticism and the discourse is mostly just people blindly defending trek from anti-woke dipshits by being obtuse about trek being some unchanging thing because alex kurtzman sucks.

Props to PC Gamer for cutting through his tap-dancing bullshit attempt to spin this whole thing with grok as an attempt at politically motivated government censorship. Contemptible man. He can't even post a refutation because they directly fucking quote him in the article.

If someone replaced you in your sleep with an exact clone with the same thoughts and memories you would (or to say, your clone would) wake up the next day having no idea anything changed despite no longer being you and this is just the normal sort of existential crisis I seem to have on the weekend.

An Ocarina of Time romhack worth keeping an eye on is Zelda: Indigo which looks to be releasing this year. It's basically an entirely new Zelda game using OOT's engine. Completely new bosses, dungeons, mechanics, the works. Looks really ambitious and cool.
