Looking forward to a future where someone saying they're a former ICE agent will be a widespread mark of shame.

They'll be unwelcome in civil society. It's something they'll want to hide from their neighbors, coworkers, extended family, etc, because people will rightfully hate them for it.

There's no reforming our government out of this, not without radical reform on the level of overthrowing the government and having a constitutional convention.

Fuck everyone who enables and supports imperialism, wars based on lies, and genocide-denial.

I suggest checking this out while reading it with a framework of this being but one of many ways to interpret how humans think.
Knowledge is empowering.
It has been fascinating to read and map my own understandings onto the works of those who came before me.

The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice. Except it doesn’t bend on its own—it bends because we pull it in the direction of justice. What keeps me hopeful during times like these is being surrounded by people who are doing just that.

Republicans can’t win on their policies, so they are trying to dodge accountability by rewriting the rules. These lawmakers are going out of their way to silence the will of the people and deliberately undermine our democracy.
The White House is continuing to pressure more states to gerrymander their congressional maps because they are afraid of voters holding them accountable for their unpopular policies.

This is a decisive moment for our democracy. Take action to fight back against this power grab. ⬇️

Republicans are trying to redraw congressional district lines to keep their grip on Congress in the midterms and beyond.

Voters should pick their politicians, not the other way around.

Long before Project 2025 – there was a different playbook for turning a democracy into an autocracy.

Let's talk about Viktor Orbán and Hungary.

I used to come here, and be there, looking for simply answers; When I have found that there's far more beauty in asking the hundreds of questions that can be asked to those answers.

Trump's Education Department has dismissed 3,424 civil rights complaints, abandoning students and allowing their rights to be undermined.

This is more proof that Republicans just do not care about you or your rights.

Progress in this country never comes easy or quick. For every few hard-earned steps forward, we might stumble a couple steps back. But sometimes, the slow, steady effort of generations is rewarded with justice that arrives like a thunderbolt.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem called Los Angeles a “city of criminals” and not a city of immigrants. But like its name, Los Angeles is a city of angels. We protect and look out for one another, especially the most vulnerable.

Everything that’s happened over the past six months has been a response to an imaginary crisis. There is no immigrant invasion. No trade crisis. No scientific or governance crisis. Just people completely high off their own supply trying to fundamentally reorder society. None of this had to happen.

Can we encourage a culture of slowing down, and listening to each other?

I think it's important to listen, and be listened to - we all have unique experiences.

I think this goes for many, and any thing

Whenever you're uncertain on something, or learning something new, I highly recommend reading an encyclopedia and or Wikipedia.
In general, I think assembling lists of information resources to double check what you think is true - false, is best.

I'd highly recommend it as an alternative next time you're tempted to buy something off typical chan websites.

I highly recommend buying a Calendar for use in 2025.
It's really nice to not only have an at a glance plan of important events on days, but also to reflect on to see what you did or didn't like about the previous year / at any time in the year.
