One of the cool things about getting better at programming is being able to work on something ✨anywhere✨ During a shower, walking around… Even in one’s sleep!

Trying to measure coding productivity is, and always will be, a fool's errand.
Why? Because I can go for a walk then take a shower and have an idea, then write a single line of code that fixes everything I was working on.

Why the fuck did Apple add a “Safety Filter” mode to the clean-up tool in Photos that is AI CONTROLLED, can’t be manually disabled, and pixelates instead of removing whenever it believes you’re trying to remove sensitive stuff.

A major Spanish airline has a website where, every time you select + deselect this upgrade, you get a *different* random seat. So you can basically re-roll until you get a seat you like.

I hate how airlines treat their software department as a cost center - and as a result, their websites are unusuable for edge cases; but there is no monitoring on these; passengers suffer, devs don't know or care.

Those on an H1B cannot return to the US from tomorrow (Sunday) unless paying $100K. This is an out-of-the blue presidential action. We’ll see software engineers stranded abroad.
One easy to predict outcome: those on US visas will travel less… for work, for conferences etc.
