The learning curve with Notion is a little steep too, but the amount of control it gives you is worth it. This will give you and idea of what's possible.

Trello was my other choice but even with colour coding I found the interface overly cluttered and distracting. I set up a custom kanban style planner in Notion with Today, Tomorrow, and Later style categories, and a week planner and I haven't looked back since.

After trying out absolutely everything, I settled on Notion. Notion has AI but if you email them they'll disable it for your account. Obsidian is like Notion but has a steeper learning curve.
