You're also wrong about the tyre wear. They're significantly higher for a similar class of ICE car as their extra weight causes significantly more friction, which leads to more tyre particulates. The significantly higher torque – especially from standstill – also creates far more particulates.

We need far fewer cars on the road period. We can’t simply swap them 1:1. Electric cars aren’t here to save the environment; they’re here to save the car industry. Also, they are far from clean. Tyre and brake particulates are often worse from EVs and are directly harmful to humans.

Why? So the car industry can try and steal even more of the street than it’s already done? Yeah, nah. Don’t have somewhere to store on your own property? Tough shit. Don’t buy things you don’t have room to store.

It's not support for any kind of private car. It's simply reinforcing the point that if you don't have room to store private property on your own land, it's not the council's responsibility to provide you with storage.

2️⃣ The Council would also be responsible for maintenance of the gullies, meaning having to inspect the condition of them all regularly (including ones that are defunct after someone has moved out), and being potentially liable if someone trips over a defective gully.

For reference, @ippr.org said "£35 per head per year for a decade is needed to deliver walking, wheeling and cycling infrastructure" so even the best funded places are getting under one-fifth what they need.

US devices and applications are now a threat to European and Canadian national security. Expect a lot of news like that in the next years.
