L'Inconnue de la Seine was reputedly an unknown drowned girl pulled from the river in Paris circa 1880. Sculptures based on her death mask became popular after 1900. In 1960 Emma Matthiasen used the design for a first-aid training doll. As Resuscitation Annie she's the most 'kissed' face ever
