Yesterday, 2/10, thinking about our dry winter and lack of snow, so we see fewer Elk. But, late afternoon, a few flakes fell, and ~ 25 Elk appeared on cue! For a comparison, another Elk on 2/10 last year, in about 5" of snow in the same area.

A couple of mountain views taken during our cross-country ski outing today, in the San Juan Mountains of Southern Colorado. Beautiful spring-like conditions, but you can see from the exposed rock on the nearby peaks just how little snow we've had so far this winter. W
