23!!! That's a wondrous age for a cat. I'm so sorry you have to say goodbye. I lost my old lady Bagel (18) this year and it may feel less *wrong* when they're old, but it isn't any easier.

Today I learned my union president has me blocked here on Bluesky, likely due to my opposition to AI slop / suicide-enabling tech in classrooms. What a coward - but in line with my experience with those on AFT's payroll. No problem to big to ignore, no centrist too useless to elevate.

So much biography in one single frame. Well-worn piano sheet music for Nightswimming by REM - been playing it since '95. Behind, an artwork my 9yo daughter did of our late cats as ghosts. Beyond, a trans pride flag, a jade elephant my sister bought me, and a painting by my partner's old friend.
