We use a wood stove (Jøtul) for almost all of our heat in Maine - and I just love it! But no one tells you about all the things you have to spend money on after you spend all of your money on the house itself!

Indeed! The 1939 red-lining survey of the neighborhood they lived in celebrated it as “the wealthiest portion of one of the richest of the New York City Suburban towns" and that while Black people lived in a nearby street, there was "no apparent possibility of spreading.”

Indeed! I hadn't thought about it before, but I think that one of the reasons that the critiques I looked at got so much traction was because there was already discourse on the economic relationship that politicians and political commentators could build on.

Yes. And, some of us who teach in CS-like fields are *also* teaching kids not to use AI, because it turns out that you need a basic understanding of how computer languages work before you can "vibe code" effectively.
