Hands is not a bot. Beep boop.

They/Them
He's also one of very few Yakuza antagonists to show up in the next game. In 4 he gets a redemption arc.

Is the plan for a hypothetical Kiwami 4 to recast him again to someone who wouldn't make his redemption feel utterly disgusting?

"Abide by the same rules as local police."

So roving patrols and racial profiling, but performative oversight and paid leave for violent racism. Wow, what a solution Chuck.

It's always "Fuck Nazis" in bio and then every time they talk about trans people they just uncritically recite Nazi shit.

They aren't starting from "Abolish ICE and persecute every agent" and negotiating down to "Abolish ICE." They're starting from "continue giving ICE massive funding and unchecked power, but slightly less" and negotiating down to "giving them more power with performative oversight."

I would not call Democrats favourite strategy of starting with a compromise position and then haggling down further, "negotiating."

Democrats "negotiations" have included demands that local cops work with ICE, and for ICE (unaccountable murderers) to be treated like cops (unaccountable murderers.)

29 year old, so about 20 when they started arguing Antifa had "leaders" 9 years ago.

So their argument is the first Trump administration was being thwarted by the machinations and organizing expertise of someone fresh out of their teens.

So they're doing the work for the love of the game (brutalizing minorities?)

Hm, wonder which of her friends would be very happy if she started saying the real threat to women and girls are a group that her friend is categorically excluded from.

HMMMM.

I don't buy Republicans fearing their base. They're the ones who have helped push them to these extremes.

I think that narrative is largely a lie they tell Dems to keep them hoping that "moderate" Republicans will come around and save the US so Dems won't have to do the work.

Because neoliberals told an entire generation to buy up housing stock and become landlords as a "retirement plan." So now if you want young people to be able to afford a home all old people hear is "I want you dead on the streets."

Also doesn't include deaths to starvation or lack of medical supplies from the blockade, or lack of sterile medical facilities from Israel systematically destroying every hospital.

They accepted it only at the point where the methodology no longer works and it's a massively undercounting deaths.

Conservatives do routinely buy their own books in bulk to try to get on bestsellers lists. So it's entirely believable that they'd buy out theatres to make it look like people are watching their terrible propaganda film.

They wouldn't actually pay people to show up though.

"Accountability means treating [the unaccountable murderers employed by the government] like [a different group of unaccountable murderers employed by the government]"

Feels like she needed another followup to the followup.

Republicans never accept the Democratic Pre-Compromised Position no matter how much Democrats slash in advance. They start offering 50% of what is needed, then negotiate down to 5-10% and nothing improves.
It's not actually clever politics, it's a primary reason why everything is so shit right now.
January 29, 2026 at 1:47 AM
How well has the time honoured Democratic negotiation tactic of "compromise in advance and only suggest what we think Republicans will support" actually worked?
Dems need to ask for more so they can work down to what is needed, not start by asking for less and end with basically nothing like always.

"We've seen that people are refusing to buy certain models of our cars, so in response we've stopped making the models people do buy so they have no option but to buy the shiny nazi dumpster."

Such a brilliant plan, it could only fail if there were even a single other car manufacturer on Earth.

>require ICE to coordinate with local authorities.

So if local laws forbid local cops from coordinating with ICE, then ICE just can't operate. Right? RIGHT? /s

Of course Schumer's "solution" is to override existing laws meant to limit the resources available to fascists.

But they're not actually the left in the US, as we saw with Mamdani there is a real left in the US and Democrats are actively aligned against it.

Despite this they're not, as I already said, further to the right than our federal Conservative party. Definitely no where near as bad as BC Cons or UCP.
January 29, 2026 at 12:09 AM
That isn't true, in part because the US has no parties left of centre. They have two parties on the right whose primary point of agreement is no one on the left should ever have power. Even then the Conservative Party of Canada has gone harder on racism and bigotry than the Democrats.
January 28, 2026 at 11:52 PM
Unfortunately taking any state is a non-starter. The population difference is too big, for pretty much all of the "I wish we could join Canada" states, ex-Americans would immediately become one of the largest voting blocks in the country. California would double the population, we'd be joining them.
January 28, 2026 at 11:40 PM
Ah yes, the "real world" of finance, that sector where people are constantly blowing up the economy because they all fall for obvious scams. Wow, what credentials.
January 27, 2026 at 6:13 AM
Yeah, it is hard to look at a the name "Spew," a synonym for vomit and not feel like the author herself sees this movement as a valid target for mockery.

It'd be different if the slaveholding society mocked the movement but in turn the author mocks the society, but they both just mock the movement.

Why? Why should space be made when the actual work is already being done without them? It's not an acceptable risk to create DHS2 on faith that this time they'll actually take on those tasks.

A gun is being held to our heads and your solution is to take the bullets out and swap them to a new gun.
