The intake was terrible. He saw me double masked (wired N95 I removed right before MRI) underneath was ear loop, wire removed, with mask taped to my face. The actual MRI was fine. Hospitals are still unsafe w/ staff who question my choice to wear a mask.

If you remove the wire (I did) then use surgical tape to literally tape the entirety of the mask to your face, it can work. Because once you remove the wire, it becomes a very leaky mask.

I have done this 3 times now and the technician doing the MRI has never asked me to remove them.

Yes I did! I called the hospital & said it was nice to see signage upon my entry saying that they respected my choice to wear a mask.

And then get berated by an intake technician who told me I don’t need to wear a mask because Covid is over.

Metals can burn you. If this strapless mask has wires over the nose bridge, they’ll make you remove the mask.

While my experience was bad with an awful intake tech there is a way around it.

While I was berated for wearing a mask, I still wore one for the MRI. I’ve learned how it can be done.

Recently had an MRI at Mount Sinai in Toronto. Signage upon entry announced they respect my choice to wear a mask.

The MRI intake tech questioned my mask & said Covid is over. He scoffed when I replied he tell that to the 350 Americans still dying each week.

Hospitals are unsafe & unwelcoming.
