I hate that they used a picture of her previous pregnancy in this article. This makes it appear like she was due shortly, not that she was around 9 weeks pregnant when hospitalized and will be kept "alive" via mechanical ventilation until 28+ weeks.

Adriana Smith had an unfortunate CNS event that left her brain dead. She was 9w pregnant when in happened. By GA law the pregnancy cannot be terminated once a heart beat is detected. She is being maintained on live support until her fetus is viable. Her family has no say.

Black women (especially Black women who are neurodivergent) get absolutely no space to just BE. If a Black woman isn’t constantly smiling and making jokes, we’re instantly presumed to be mean or have an attitude. It’s ridiculous.
