That’s Strangers Things all watched until the last drop on NYE. It was good, there were two places I particularly loved what they did. No spoilers though.

That was a brilliant Strictly final and very worthy winners. Any of the couples would have been deserving winners but, I did vote for the winners so I’m extra happy 😆 Also a very emotional final as we all bid farewell to the wonderful Tess and Claudia presenting the show. ❤️ #Strictly

Even at 44, I still love watching The Muppet Family Christmas. This year I have a most excellent Secret Santa gift of a mini Kermit to join me.

Cute thing I saw on the way out of Morrisons, Beccles today. Free carrots to take for Rudolph and the rest of the reindeer’s. 😍🥕

Just started a rewatch of Rob Reiner’s Misery and holy shit! I had completely forgotten that Lauren Bacall was in this!! It’s been so long since I last watched this movie.

Honouring Rob Reiner and his wife Michele by watching one of my favourite Rob Reiner films and honour them both this way. When it comes to Reiner’s films, I think of the line, ‘As you wish’. Always intended on watching this over the festive period, now it feels even more different.

Hey! Make our Christmas and go listen to our show. We love making it, listen in on our thoughts on all sorts of different films we had never seen before.

Have been watching a docu series on the History of the Sitcom and, whilst it’s only American sitcoms (of which I have watched a lot of), there are many they have spoken about I’d like to see but probably won’t be able to find. After watching their episode on the outsider and mostly focussed on…(1/2)

Just finished the first 2 episodes of The War Between the Land and the Sea and I like it. Very good. Look forward to the next episode. I did have subtitles on throughout as, even at a comfortable volume for me to hear, I couldn’t always make out what people were saying.

ITV1 screening Mama Mia: Here We Go Again which, I really enjoy but it just make me cry a lot (it’a pretty sad as well as a lot of fun). However, it really kicks in when Cher arrives in the film and her rendition of Fernando 🤩😍🥰🥰

To make up for rewatching The Family Stone and being disappointed in it, tonight I have treated myself to a double bill of Miracle on 34th Street. I’ve just finished the original, which I hadn’t seen before, and it was superb! Now on to the Dicky Attenborough version which I absolutely adore. ❤️🎅🏻🎅🏻❤️

Today the new BBC Chronicles of Narnia boxset was released which includes a brand new documentary reuniting the cast(s) and interviews with all the creatives, 130mins long. O smiled watching it from start to finish. #Narnia #BBCNarnia 1/3

Can’t remember the last time I watched the Sandra Bullock starring film, Hope Floats. Just finished watching it now and it’s still a good gentle film. Funny moments, good acting, good dramatic moments and heartbreaking and it still makes me cry. Little bit lovely.

I started watching Shetland on BBC iPlayer on Friday from when it stars Ashley Jensen and Alison O’Donnell as the lead detectives and I have LOVED it! Superb crime drama. #ShetlandBBC I’m now just coming up to date with series 10.

We’re having the bathroom re-fitted to make things easier for mum to get around and actually will work out well for us all. Does mean the workman is digging up the floor a bit today. Thank goodness for the noise cancelling headphones! I’d go to the office but bit of a dicky tummy 🫤

The reviews I have read so far are correct. Hulu’s All is Fair is utter shit. It’s not even ‘so bad, it’s good’. It’s just bad. The scripts, the acting… all just awful.

Let the rewatch commence!

I’m not quite ready for Christmas movies just yet. Those will really start in December. Maybe end of November but Dec most likely. For November I think a rewatch of the LOTR films and The Hobbit and also in life the animated LOTR: War of the Rohirrim, plus other rewatched and a few never seens too

Now why do I do it to myself. Enjoy a good horror movie and then have to go out to the back garden with dog, torch in hand with high winds making noises throughout the trees in the woods surrounding us and shadows falling everywhere! 😩😱🫣 Happy Halloween all the same! 😅😆

Happy Halloween!

As I continue The Chronicles of Narnia I can’t help but wonder when @netflix.com & #GretaGerwig will release information about their adaptations. Especially as what has been seen shows a big time jump in The Magician’s Nephew so, an explanation would be nice. Just to know what’s happening. #Narnia

A reminder that I and @angelj5.bsky.social are guesting on this month's Halloween pumpkin spice flavoured episode of Pop Culture Parlour.

One of the things we discuss is this jawdroppingly 80s pop video...
