I will FOREVER give my bf a hard time about when we were walking trails and I told him to watch for snakes because he was in the lead, he gave me some snippy "of course I know to watch for snakes" retort, and then literally stepped on a (laughably tiny) snake that was laying across the trail.

My Steam Deck suddenly started muting itself completely, and nothing I adjusted in settings would fix it. 😭
I set it down and have not picked it up for probably 3-4 weeks now. Audio in games help make it SO immersive, and my brain has zero desire to play anymore when the sound element is missing.

I pretty much gave up any hope of there being a successful correction to our current state of affairs when observing how utterly selfish and stupid the general population truly is, while COVID was a fresh terror.

People refused to do the barest of minimums for even their own personal survival.

This extends to your phone conversations on speaker, also.

And frankly, it doesn't just need to be while out in nature.

Please let me just bask in my daydream that I am utterly alone. No matter where I am located, I have no desire to hear or interact with any humans that are unfamiliar to me.
