If racists can frame Blacksky as a threat to the overall web, using classic racist tropes to do it, they can slow the progress of the ground shrinking beneath them.

The blatant attacks on Blacksky highlights how afraid of bigots are of that project becoming a standard others follow.

As decentralization becomes more and more common, bigots see an opportunity to infiltrate spaces with little to no oversight to project their hate with no consequences.

The popularity of Blacksky is largely do it's effective moderation style.

That is an existential threat to hateful people online.

The discourse around what Blacksky is doing 'wrong' is a perfect example of how 4channers operate.

There are plenty of examples of how centralization is harming the web, so to focus on Blacksky, which isn't even centralized, shows a very specific intent to demonize a Black space.

Anti-Black bigots have become adapt at wrapping their hate with progressive ideology like a burrito.

They know if they have the flags and acronyms in their profiles, white folks specifically will be more susceptible to hearing them out.

And that's what bigots want.

A larger attack surface.
