I'm a family man. I like to program. I love the web. I freelance. Got stuck with my sci-fi and fantasy hobbies since I was a kid. I __DO__ like Bitcoin and AI.

Ping me if you need a programmer or want to talk Heroquest, Star Trek or HTMX.

First time I read an article about a coding agent and chuckled because the text is actually witty, and not because it's absurd.

New blog post, wherein I tell you what I learned building my own opinionated and radically minimal coding agent.

With way to many words. Ask an LLM to summarize it for you.

I think we're at peak AI hype, shortly before the bubble will burst. What's my signal?

Yesterday I was helping my 9 year old preparing a poster for a book presentation. We were looking for an image to print out and add to the poster and whiel we were browsing, he said: "It must not look like AI."

AI is changing the game, but it's still a huge bubble. Similar to the .Com bubble, but worse?

While I am positive about AI usage, I'm very negative about it being used for "creative" endeavors, even if it's marketing copy.

The issue is: It's obvious. It's lazy. It's pure noise.

Why should I be bothered to read a thing that no-one could be bothered to write?

I've been using composer-1 for the whole week now and I have to say: It's working well.

It's fast, and it's handling Vertx/Java well. Angular/Typescript, Preact/Typescript, and NextJS/Javascript too.

It was __actually__ really helpful.

Nothing like a host being down in the morning, due to cooling issues. At least OVH fixed it quite fast.

"Angststillstand" amzn.to/4943sUA von Precht war nicht sehr interessant zu lesen. Hübls "Moralspektakel" war IMHO die bessere Lektüre. Das Axolotl-Gleichnis gefällt mir, und der Schluss über die Brüderlichkeit - aber der Rest ist mittlerweile einfach langweilig.

Started with "The Goblin Emperor".

Finished it yesterday. 2nd half was not my cup of tea. Breezy is entitled and annoying like the teenager she is. To make things worse, the final battle of the book should have felt carthatic but for some reason it felt hollow.

70 pages into Breezys new adventure, and I like it very much so far. He even made the pages about Dhalia fun to read. Something he rarely could in the previous books.

Having 8 grandkids nearby and enough money sounds like the ideal life for a grandpa. I envy Salvatore. That's a great place to be. I wouldn't be mad if he never writes Drizzt again.
