I wanted to sketch out an illustration showing the preserved skin of #Edmontosaurus compiled so far. This is meant to be E. regalis, but researching this I found out most of the skin known is actually from annectens,

These critters all lived in the first six million years of the Cenozoic and each one was, in its time, the biggest mammal that had ever existed.

It took some work to balance the intended message, desired visual impact, and tech limitations, but I think the latest version of this display works well.

Some of the deer tracks I have gotten pictures of in my local park. They come in at night. Sometimes I get to see their tracks left in the following morning.

It's patriotic to protect wolves 🐺

A survey revealed 78% of Americans support continued protections for gray wolves under the ESA - including ranchers, farmers, + rural residents in states with wolf populations.

Americans want wolves protected. So why is Congress trying to remove protections?

This is the Variegated squirrel (Sciurus variegatoides), an extant and highly variable species that occurs from southern Mexico to Panama in forest and woodlands of many sorts. 15 subspecies have been named. It features in #PrehistoricPlanetIceAge as >both< a CG asset and a real filmed animal :)

A few days ago, I took a book out, and felt the shelves' knobs, it was in the dark. I touched a yellow sac spider, pressing it firmly against the shelf and moving it back. It freaked me out and I thought it was a house centipede, I only figured out it was a spider after I turned the lights on.

Path of titans is finally working on my phone despite saying it wouldn't earlier. The dinosaurs look nice. It's easier to play as a herbivore, as animals are really rare. I thinking making noise may attract predators, as my campy got attacked after several hollers.

At some point the international community, not just protesters, will have to ENFORCE an end to coal, oil and eventually gas. By military means, if necessary. Why? To protect their national interests from an economy-destroying climate. When? Sooner than we think.

Years ago I saw a pic of this Anchiornis specimen in nat geo article and I audibly gasped.preserving not only the feathers but also the original patterns as well. I made this drawing on the spot. Maybe its time to do v2.0
