Fun Facts: In later life Stan Laurel listed his home phone number in the telephone directory so fans could get in touch. In Blotto (1930) the number 'Oxford-0614' that Ollie calls to reach Stan was his actual phone number! #laurelandhardy

“I'm tired, boss.... Mostly, I'm tired of people being ugly to each other. I'm tired of all the pain I feel and hear in the world...every day. There's too much of it. It's like pieces of glass in my head...all the time. Can you understand?

As an alumnus and former member of staff, I'm incredibly disappointed that this is happening. Do better, Cardiff Uni.

For those of you who don't want extra features shoved onto your computers.

Changing the subscription isn't straightforward for everyone, so see the comments below RJ's post if you get stuck.
Also, if you're using WORD on a subscription Microsoft will have automatically updated you to the new premium, more expensive version with AI for next time you resubscribe.

If you go to your subscriptions the non AI one is still there at the same price but you have to manually swap it back.

This is as good as the discovery some years back that Cornish ducks make more relaxed sounds than London ones. The Cockney quack is like a shout, whereas the Cornish version is more of a giggle.

New AI tool can track dolphins by their 'regional accents'
The tool can be helped to identify dolphin species and to study the impact human activities, like fishing, have on the aquatic mammals.

Stan and Ollie's four in one card from The Fixer Uppers (1935) reads:
'A Merry Christmas husband;
Happy New Year's nigh.
I wish you Easter greetings;
hooray for the Fourth of July!'

Santa baby, Christmas 2007. I wish I could have him back this size, just for one day. (Note - day, not night!!)

Culling badgers was never the answer. It wasn't in the 70s, or the 90s, or now. #VaccinesWork
This is the lovely Jeremy Clarkson. He’s used his show ‘Clarkson’s Farm’ to vilify Badgers as responsible for the spread of bTB and has shot all the Badgers on his farm

He’d hate it if people ‘RT'd’ this and signed the petition to end the Badger cull..
