I’m really feeling the hurt of what is happening, and yes, have felt it for a long time.

I’m really feeling the hurt of what is happening, and yes, have felt it for a long time.

AI cannot take accountability. AI cannot be “sorry.”
You have no control over the outputs of AI if you did not make it yourself, train it on very specific data sets, and create extremely rigorous control methods. Even then the safeguards are limited.

The new year rolled in and I was in my office with the cats, comforting them with the fireworks.
But as it rolled in I realized it has been officially 10 years since Felix came into my life. In that time, he has saved my life many times over.

I've said it before but its still relevant: any time someone tells me that automated (or "gen AI") alt text is a good idea I can find instances of why it misses context or is inaccurate.
Is it better than nothing? It depends on what are the risks you're willing to take with inaccurate alt text
