It is the Glasgow School of Art at Forres. If you get a chance to visit, I'd strongly recommend it.

Well, Inverness is rather lovely. Though if you think Dundee is North, it took a further 4 hours to get here.

Yes, peer review of processes for PS sections, as required by the government, including externals! It's a great idea, but is quite resource intensive. In the UK, such reviews are only for when something had gone really badly wrong, so it's nice to do one where you aren't playing 'hunt the error'

I had a fabulous, though very tiring, few days doing an external review of their research office (interesting QA model for PS services in Ireland, one we could learn from).

It's a cold and blustery day. I could go and do something productive like unpacking a box, cleaning the bathroom or hoovering. But the cat and have agreed it is a day for hunkering down, sitting on the sofa and in my case, a bit of knitting.

You've got to love a place where using the excuse of, 'need to leave before the bridge gets closed' is a normal occurrence (bridge is indeed shut, glad I left early). Fingers crossed the power holds up.

I have a new ergonomic keyboard at work. I've used one before and I know it will sort out some hand and wrist pains that flare up. But if my emails are a bit terse at the moment, it's because it's taking a while to get used to and boy have I got sloppy with my touch typing. So many typos.
